An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) is one of the most important checks you can have carried out on your property. It’s the formal inspection that assesses the safety and compliance of your electrical system against current regulations.

What an EICR Covers

  • C1 (Danger present): Immediate risk that requires urgent action

  • C2 (Potentially dangerous): Issues that should be fixed quickly to ensure safety

  • C3 (Improvement recommended): Advisable upgrades to bring the system up to today’s electrical safety standards

You’ll receive a copy of the report, clearly showing any findings and what needs to be done. For landlords, current legislation requires that any C1 or C2 issues are addressed and a tenant provided with confirmation within 28 days of completion.
