Ensuring Safety and Efficiency with TS Electrical

At TS Electrical, our mission is to provide top-notch electrical services that prioritise safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

We recently had the opportunity to work with Ann, who contacted us with several electrical concerns.

The brief was to upgrade bathroom downlights, address issues with a timer switch, and replace a consumer unit. We addressed her electrical needs and ensured we left her with a safe and reliable electrical system.

Initial Contact and Assessment

On the 15th of March, Ann reached out to us with her electrical concerns. She specifically highlighted the need for upgrading bathroom downlights, addressing a malfunctioning timer switch, and replacing a consumer unit.

Understanding the importance of these tasks, we promptly scheduled a site visit for March 26th.

During the site visit, our team thoroughly assessed the existing electrical setup and identified the areas that required attention. Our team identified the specifics of each issue the client had outlined, as well as took note of any other immediately evident problems that might cause problems for her at a later date.

Quotation and Approval

Following the site visit, we provided the client with a detailed quotation outlining the scope of work, materials required, and associated costs. Our transparent and competitive pricing ensured that the client had a clear understanding of what to expect.

The quotation was given immediately after the site visit, as fast and clear communication is a core tenet of our ethos at TS Electrical.

Regarding the ease of our assessment process, Ann said: “I am most impressed with the professional way they conduct their business, from quotes to invoices.” It’s our belief that worrying about the minutiae of a job should be our responsibility, not the client’s, and we do everything in our power to ensure that our customers’ experience is as hassle-free as possible.

Commencement of Work

With the job booked, our team swung into action, commencing work on April 9th. The tasks at hand were to replace the consumer unit fully, address the malfunctioning timer switch, and upgrade the bathroom downlights.

The replacement of the consumer unit was executed efficiently, with the fitting of a new fuse board to ensure compliance with the latest safety standards and regulations. Additionally, we diagnosed and rectified the issue with the timer switch, ensuring that the kitchen light functioned reliably and as per the client’s requirements. The 12V bathroom lights were old and inefficient halogen bulbs, so we replaced the fittings with mains voltage GU10 LED downlights.

Going the Extra Mile

At TS Electrical, the safety and satisfaction of our clients is paramount. Therefore, following the replacement of the consumer unit and other electrical interventions, we conducted a comprehensive test of the entire installation. During testing, we discovered a concerning issue with the main earth reading, indicating a potential risk of electric shock under fault conditions.

Understanding the immediate danger this problem presented, we took immediate action to rectify the issue. We installed a new earth rod and main earthing conductor, significantly reducing the earth reading to well within safe parameters. This need for a proactive approach is not uncommon during a job, as it remains our priority to ensure the safety and longevity of the electrical installation.
